How To Use

How to Use Fox Tail Car Detailing Products

Step-by-step video guides for the Fox Tail Wheel Detailing Mitt, Glass Towel, Drying Towel and Leather Duo. Watch how we use each one and get a perfect finish every wash.

01

Fox Tail Wheel Detailing Mitt

Fox Tail Wheel Detailing Mitt

Into the spokes and tight gaps.

For the spots a regular wash mitt can't get into properly. The tails wrap around the spokes and lift the grime off as they slide through.

01

Rinse the wheels, then spray on a good-quality wheel cleaner.

02

Soak the Fox Tail in soapy water and build up a lather.

03

Feed it through the spokes and gaps, letting the tails do the work.

04

Rinse it out often as you go, then hang it up to dry when you're done.

Why two in a pack? Brake dust is harsh, so keep one mitt just for the wheels and one for the rest of the car.*

*Which colour you use for the wheels and which for the rest of the car is just a suggestion. Pick whatever split works for you.

02

Glass Towel

Glass Towel

Streak-free glass, every time.

Made for drying your glass after cleaning. That's where streaks and water marks happen, and where this towel does its job.

01

Clean the glass first with your glass cleaner of choice.

02

Fold the towel into four squares, using one side for the wet work.

03

Dry in straight lines, top to bottom. No circles.

04

Flip to a dry side for one final pass, and it's streak free.

Pro tip: a 50/50 mix of isopropyl alcohol and demineralised water makes a streak-free glass cleaner. Keep this towel for glass only, never paint or wheels.

03

Leather Duo

Leather Duo

Clean leather, no damage.

A 2-step system for your leather interior. The sponge cleans, the towel finishes, and the leather keeps its natural feel.

01

Test your leather cleaner on a small hidden spot first.

02

Use the Leather Clean Sponge with your cleaner to lift the dirt from the surface.

03

Wipe and finish with the Leather Finish Towel to remove residue and level the surface evenly.

04

Work through seats, steering wheel and trims the same way for an even finish.

Keep it dedicated: leather needs its own cleaner and its own cloths. Never bring exterior towels inside onto your leather.

04

Drying Towel

Drying Towel

Dry without swirl marks.

For drying the whole car safely after a wash, so no water spots and no swirl marks are left behind.

01

Start with the glass. Left to dry on its own, that's the first spot to show water marks.

02

Lay the towel flat on the panel and drag it slowly in one direction. No pressure, no circles.

03

Work from the top down, panel by panel, wheels last.

04

Hang it up to dry, ready for the next wash.

Remember: drying properly, not quickly, is what prevents water spots and swirl marks.
